Anubhav Sinha has summarized the entire thing in 2 hours.
The movie was probably made and screened in the best of its time because now and yesterday has shown no respect or care or equality in this regard.
Even being a part of constitution, the terms stay locked in a piece of paper forever. No one, I repeat no one even bothers to at the very minimum know about the amount of harm being garnered upon the SC, ST, OBC whatever.

The direction takes us through an emotional as well as informative journey to unfold the truth about the working of our legal institutions. The film has a character named Ayan Ranjan played by Ayushmann Khuranna an IPS officer posted in Badau village in U.P. With this being his first posting, fate didn't chose to make situations any simpler for him. On the very first day of his duty he encounters the case of three teen (dalit) girls missing since last two days which eventually lands him with the dead body of two amongst the three(raped) and one still unfound. As he investigates further he is been exposed to the careless work attitude of his fellow inspectors and the entire community towards minority.
It is interesting to watch how he is shattered by the fact that such incidences still take place in the country and everybody is chilled out about it. He clearly sees this as the violation of the constitutional article 15 and picks up the task to unwrap the whole case to put the culprits behind the bars.

What Ayan encountered is what we all see in our daily lives whereby the powerless or the minorities are suppressed by the powerful and the majorities. It has become the notion
"Inke saath aisa hi hota hai"
and we turn around our backs because we have much more important things to do...maybe....

The movie left me thinking what the hell am I doing to stop all this ...nothing....exactly we all are doing nothing!!
It doesn't require you to come on streets and protest with stikes, it is those small things you start doing in your lives and that is
STOP NEGLECTING. Start writing or reading or performing or atleast talking and spreading the word about it.

Humans are the most superior creatures god has ever created with lending us brains, so, why not use some and once again achieve our superiority.
